Pakistan embattled One Day International (ODI) skipper, Azhar Ali has admitted that his side performed below par against Australia, as the visitors lost both the Test and ODI series during the tour Down Under.
"Obviously, the performance we gave in the field was nowhere near good enough," Azhar said on Wednesday, quoted Australian Associated Press.
Azhar said that the Pakistani camp wants to return home, as the team has been away from home for quite some time.
"We have been away from home for a long time, just went for a week after the England tour," Azhar said.
"So we have been away from home for a long, long time so it has been quite hard anyway."
Team Pakistan has undergone a cramp cricketing schedule recently, after Test tour of England last July-August, the team went against the West Indies in the UAE in October. The team then toured Down Under first to New Zealand in November and then to Australia.
The skipper however, wants to get the last laugh and eyes to win the dead rubber fifth ODI before the visitors heads of to home.
"It's the last game and the best motivation we have because, after we play tomorrow, we go home - and, if we finish off with a win, that will give us a lot of good relief going home," he said.
