KARACHI: The Christian community in the metropolis celebrated the Christmas on Sunday with due fervour and enthusiasm.
Special Christmas services were held in the churches in city on the occasion.
The main gatherings were held at Holy Trinity, St. Patrick's and `74 Church' in Karachi's Saddar area as well as at Christ Church in Drigh Road.
A large number of Christians attended these services. Special prayers were also offered for the pace, progress and prosperity in the country.
As part of the Christmas festivities, the Christian community decorated and illuminated their houses with Christmas trees and lights.
Feasts, family gatherings were held on the occasion and exchange of gifts and sweets were also held as part of the festivities on the occasion.
The police and Rangers made elaborate security arrangements at the churches.
The District Municipal Corporations (DMCs) had made special cleanliness arrangements on the occasion.
