Inzamam blames batsman unreadiness behind Pakistan loss

Pakistan cricket team went into their first encounter against New Zealand as the dominant side. With wins against West Indies and drawn series against England under its belt, they were completely outmatched by the New Zeaqland boewling on the seam friendly tracks of New Zealand.

Pakistan cricket Chief Selector Inzamam ul Haq giving his reasoning behind the side batting collapse said that the batsman were unprepared to play on the fast, green pitch, Inzamam was talking at a morning show on Geo News.

Inzamam opined that Pakistani team which are used to slow dry tracks of UAE needs to tour more often to countries like Australia and New Zealand to get used to the conditions.

Pakistani batsman struggled against the green top seam-friendly strip in the first Test match, which New Zealand won by 8 wickets. Pakistans Azhar Ali termed the pitch as the most seam-friendly strip he had ever played internationally.

"Maybe this is the most seam-friendly pitch I've played on in my international career," Azhar said after the match, reported ESPNcricinfo.

Azhar who would lead the side in the second Test match at Hamilton, after skipper Misbah had to cut short his tour, and left for Pakistan over the demise of his father-in-law. The second Test match would begin at Hamilton on November 25.
