imageLAHORE: President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Masood Khan met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here Friday.

Both the leaders strongly condemned Indian atrocities and brutalities against unarmed Kashmiri people in Occupied Kashmir.

The Chief Minister said Kashmiris could not be deprived of their right of freedom through the use of force and oppressive tactics.

He said Kashmir was an incomplete agenda of partition and solution of Kashmir dispute was essential for lasting peace in the region. Depriving Kashmiris of their basic right under UN charter was unjust and the struggle of Kashmiris for self-determination could not be suppressed with the use of force, he added.

Shehbaz Sharif urged the world community to play its role to ensure the right of self-determination to Kashmiris in the light of UN resolution. He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had raised Kashmir issue forcefully at international forums.

He said Pakistan would continue political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiris.

President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Masood Khan said Indian forces could not crush the spirit of freedom of Kashmiris and the struggle of Kashmiri people was bound to succeed.
