imagePESHAWAR: President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI), Haji Muhammad Afzal Thursday welcomed investment offers for Information Technology, Agriculture and other sectors by different Chinese firms in province.

In a press statement issued here, he said a lot of investment opportunities have created due to launching of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The KPCCI office, he continued, was ready to play the role of bridege between Chinese investors and Provincial government.

He expressed these views while talking with two separate delegations of Chinese Overseas Investment Union and Chinese Investors who visited KPCCI here.

Talking with the visiting guests, President KPCCI welcomed expression of interest by Chinese investors and said China-Pakistan joint investment in different sectors would help bolster economy of both the countries especially Pakistan.

He said KPCCI was ready to provide all kind of facilities to Chinese firms for investing in different sectors in KP. In this regard, he continued, joint steps would be taken along with provincial government.

President KPCCI said the CPEC would bring improvement in economy of KP and will also help promotion of business from this province to Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics (CARs). Earlier, a presentation was also made to Chinese guests on multi media about investment opportunities in the province. President Chinese Overseas Investment Union, Zheng Shuai said that Pak-China friendship was exemplary and Chinese firms had signed MoUs for investing in Oil and Gas sector and Information Technology.

The Chinese firms will also provide assistance to farmers for improving agriculture production besides giving them micro loan facilities.
