RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Wednesday having 42404.47 points with a positive change of 111.80 and volume of 114,063,010 shares.

High and Low were 42481.07 and 42213.50 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 385,701,120 shares with 392 total traded companies out of which 171 were up 191 were down and 30 were unchanged.

TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 70,634,500 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 48,077,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 37,170,000 and price per share of 2.96 (0.18), Quice Food with a volume 22,045,500 of price per share of 9.75 (0.55), Dost Steel (R) with a volume 19,739,500 of price per share of 4.18 (0.07).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 3730.05 (64.27), Exide (PAK) price per share of 994.61 (47.36) and Siemens Pak. share of 1199.00 (47.00).

The top three decliners were Philip Morris Pak. with price per share of 1837.06 (96.68), Island Textile with price per share of 1200.00 (60.99) and Sapphire FiberXD share of 997.50 (52.50).
