Panama case: PM sons fail to comply, hearing adjourned till Nov 17

imageISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan have postponed the hearing of Panamagate case on multiple petitions against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his children, till November 17th, after PM sons Hassan and Hussain Nawaz failed to file relevant documents in the court on Tuesday.

According to local media reports, the Apex court resumed its hearing of the Panamagate scandal, Maryam Nawaz submitted the evidence required by the court, however, her brothers Hassan and Hussain Nawaz, failed to submit relevant documents.

The five-member larger bench was chaired by Chief Justice Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali, who expressed disappointment over the failure of premier's sons to comply with court orders to submit evidence within the stipulated time.

The Chief Justice questioned to why Hassan and Hussain Nawaz did not submit their evidence, the counsel for PM's children Advocate Akram Sheikh replied that the respondents require some additional time. Justice Azmat Saeed then directed the counsel to submit the documents today.

Adjourning the case hearing until November 17, the court asked them to present their asset details before the court by Thursday.

Meanwhile, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and member Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jehangir Tareen were also present at the hearing. It was reported, that the CJ wasn't happy for filing such a long documentary evidence.
