Govt would not create hurdle in way of SC regarding Panama case: Qadir

imageISLAMABAD: Minister for SAFRON Lt General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch on Monday said the government would not create any hurdle in the way of the Supreme Court in Panama Papers case proceedings.

Talking in a TV programme he said it was a wrong perception that the lawyers of the prime minister had been using delaying tactics regarding that case. The government would accept any verdict of the apex court, he added.

Replying to a question on the situation on the LoC, he said those were sorrowful incidents but there was no chance of war between Pakistan and India due to tense relations.

He strongly condemned the tragic terrorist attack at Shah Noorani Shrine in Lasbela and said rescue teams were rushed to the sight of the incident. They shifted all the injured and dead bodies in the wee hours.

He said most of the pilgrims belonged to Sindh province.

To another question, he said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had been doing a lot for making Balochistan prosperous.

Qadir Baloch said the prime minister's policies had established peace all over the country.

To a question about Kashmir, he said the prime minister had highlighted the issue very effectively at the last General Assembly session of the United Nations, which was appreciated by the people of Kashmir.

Parliamentary delegations were sent to different countries for highlighting the issue at different forums, he added.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should come to the Parliament and play its role rather than criticizing the government outside it.
