ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday disposed of the petition filed by Justice Muzahar Ali Akbar Naqvi a judge of Lahore High Court challenging the Supreme Judicial Council reference against him over withdrawal.
A three-member special bench of the apex court headed by Justice Amir Hani Muslim and comprising Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Faisal Arab heard the case.
During the course of proceedings, Advocate Kazim Raza Counsel for the petitioner appeared before the court and informed that his client had received a reference from the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) which he challenged in the apex court.
He said that his client had submitted his reply in the SJC so he wanted to withdraw his constitutional petition from the apex court. On which the apex court disposed of the case over withdrawal.
