“The Simpsons” stole the limelight last week after the animation show correctly predicted the emergence of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States of America (USA), years before Trump really did became the President.
However, the show is not happy about it as “The Simpsons” in recognition to its own accurate prediction of a Donald Trump presidency during the show’s opening sequence of the new episode, which aired on Sunday, reported Huffington Post.
Bart Simpson is seen scribbling “being right sucks” on his class chalkboard, indicating the show’s forecast in year 2000 that the billionaire TV personality would one day head the country.
Trump was seen as the US president in The Simpsons episodes "Bart to the Future", which aired some 16 years ago, on March 19, 2000. "It was a warning to America," The Simpsons writer Dan Greaney had told The Hollywood Reporter.
“It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane," added the writer.
