Pakistan seeks friendly ties with India on basis of mutual respect, equality: Khar

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Thursday said that Pakistan sought friendly relations with India on the basis of mutual respect and equality.

Talking to Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal, who called on her in her office, she said Pakistan was keen to take the dialogue process forward in a sustained and result-oriented manner.

The Indian High Commissioner expressed satisfaction at the conclusion of the first round of resumed dialogue process. He stated that the Government of India was encouraged by the successful visits of Pakistan's Foreign Minister and Minister for Commerce to India in recent months.

He said that India was keen to take the process forward.
