imageLONDON: Nigeria will hold a meeting with community leaders and representatives of militants from the Niger Delta next week to end the insurgents' attacks on oil facilities in the southern region, two oil ministry sources told Reuters on Monday.

Angola became China's largest crude supplier for the second time in September, taking the top position from Russia, customs data showed on Monday.

A short-term cap in oil output would reduce market volatility, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Monday at a meeting with OPEC Secretary-General Mohammed Barkindo. Still, Iraq's oil minister said it should be exempt from any freeze as it battles ISIS militants.

NIGERIA

Few fresh loading programmes emerged early this week. Thus far December export plans for both Qua Iboe and Agbami are lower than the previous month.

The latter field has maintenance in the early part of December that will cut export cargoes to four.

Traders said the Trans Forcados Pipeline had yet to reopen as tests continued on the line, which has been closed since a militant attack in February.

Light sweet grades were under intense downward pressure due to oversupply in the Atlantic Basin.

India's IOC provisionally booked the Ataka to carry Bonny Light and Bonga to Vadinar, for loading on Nov. 18-19, while Trafigura booked the Densa Whale t carry Bonny Light to the US Gulf in early November.

ANGOLA

Chinese demand for Angolan crude had helped clear several cargoes of December loading crude.

Firms including Sinochem, PetroIneos and CNOOC taking spot cargoes, along with Thailand's PTT and Taiwan's CPC.

Medium and sweet grades were holding firmer value, due in part to strong distillate cracks.
