The Afghan President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Hamid Karzai has promoted seven officials of the defence ministry to the rank of General. According to Radio Tehran, Muhammad Humayun Fauzi, Mehrab Ali, Engineer Muslim, Shahzada, Jan Khan, Azizullah and Muhammad Tahir have been promoted by the Afghan President on the recommendations of the defence ministry.
