Culture Department approves around Rs184.519 million
KARACHI: Sindh Culture Department on Sunday approved six development schemes which would cost Rs 184.519 million, including the translation of books written by famous Urdu poet, Faiz Ahmed Faiz from Urdu to Sindhi Language.
The schemes were approved in a meeting of Departmental Development Working Party (DDWP) of Sindh Culture Department chaired by Secretary Culture, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, said a statement.
The approved schemes would be executed under the Annual Development Program (ADP).
The meeting approved Special Renovation of Bhit Shah Cultural Complex with Rs 60 million and establishment of an open-air Theater at Larkana with Rs 59.90 million.
Four other schemes including Translation of books written by renowned Urdu poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz in Sindhi language with Rs 6.473 million, publication of books written by renowned Sindhi scholar Dr. Nabi Bux Baloch, printing of unpublished books on Culture with Rs 27.296 million and documentation of Sughar Katcheri and printing of books with Rs 10.22 million were also approved.
Moreover, five other development schemes was also approved which would cost a total amount of Rs 105.007 million.
