ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and MQM leader Altaf Hussain in a telephonic conversation discussed current political situation in the country and agreed that prevailing situation demands unity and solidarity among political forces to meet challenges facing the nation, Radio Pakistan reported on Thursday.
They also discussed efforts to bring peace and stability in Karachi‚ devastation caused by floods in Sindh and outbreak of dengue fever in Punjab.
Altaf Hussain assured President Zardari of his full cooperation to face the challenges.
He also informed about ongoing relief work by MQM for the flood affectees.
