ISLAMABAD: Director General Radio Pakistan, Murtaza Solangi has said that Ten crore mobile phone users of the country can listen programs of Radio Pakistan through internet.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said Radio Pakistan has launched its website in two languages and fourteen channels of Radio Pakistan are available on these website.
DG Murtaza Solangi said that Radio Pakistan's Muzaffarabad Station was destroyed by quake in 2005 and a hundred kilowatt transmitter was also destroyed. He added "we have set up FM 93 as alternate arrangement and we are trying to bring our quality of transmission on the level, so that they can be listened across the border".
Replying to another question, DG PBC said that since we don't have powerful transmitters, which can transmit programmes to the Gulf region, Radio Pakistan can be listened on mobile phones in Dubai.
He said that a hundred kilowatt transmitter was damaged by the floods last year at the Khairpur Station due to which Radio Pakistan's transmission in the area was badly affected but the steps are being taken to improve quality of the transmission in the area.
