FO rejects news item regarding ministry's senior functionaries

imageISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday rejected as "totally false, irresponsible and unfounded" a news story carried by a certain section of the media regarding senior functionaries of the ministry.

"It may also be noted that an unintended consequence of such stories could be seriously detrimental to the functioning of state institutions mandated with responsibility relating to international relations and national security issues," a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here said.
