LONDON: European stock markets fell at the start of trading on Friday in a downbeat end to the week, with London's FTSE 100 index losing 0.6 percent to 6,069.68 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's benchmark DAX 30 index slid 0.7 percent to 9,794.83 points and the Paris CAC 40 also shed about 0.7 percent compared with Thursday's closing level to 4,264.77.
