ISLAMABAD: MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and President Asif Zardari exchanged ideas by telephone call that lasted for 45 minutes.

Zardari inquired about Altaf Hussain health and congratulated the latter on being healthful. Altaf thanked Zardari for sending him a bouquet.
Both the leaders discussed political situation of the country and agreed on strengthening ties and working for consolidation of democracy in the country. Both pledged to foil conspiracy hatched against solidarity of the motherland.
Zardari appreciated efforts made by the MQM chief for consolidation and survival of democracy, having great expectations from him.
He further said that he was hopeful that the MQM would carry on its efforts and endeavours for survival, solidarity, progress and prosperity of the country.
