MEXICO CITY: Mexico's public sector fiscal deficit narrowed to 38.8 billion pesos in July, the Finance Ministry said on Tuesday.
Mexican President Felipe Calderon has shrunk the public sector budget deficit after it widened during the 2008-09 recession.
In June, Mexico's public sector ran a fiscal deficit of 107.6 billion pesos.
In early September, Calderon is due to present his budget proposal for 2012 the last year of his term.
