ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain, on a number of summaries initiated by the Ministry of Defence, approved the Prime Minister's advice for grant of awards to the personnel of Pakistan Armed Forces in recognition of their services to the nation and the country.
The awards will be conferred upon the personnel of Armed Forces in connection with Pakistan's Independence Day, falling on August 14.
According to a press release, on a summary initiated by the Ministry of Defence, the President has approved the Prime Minister's advice for grant of awards in the order of Basalat to 200 personnel of Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force.
The President on another summary initiated by the Ministry of Defence, also approved the Prime Minister's advice for grant of awards in the Order of Imtiaz (Military) to 211 officers of Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force on the occasion of Independence Day.
On another summary, the President approved the Prime Minister's advice for grant of awards in the Order of Khidmat (Military) to 671 personnel (Junior Commissioned Officers & below) of Pakistan Army, Navy, Air Force, Mujahid Force (MF), Defence Services Guards (DSG) and Civil Armed Forces (CAF).
Similarly, on a summary, the President also approved award of Imtiazi Sanad to 63 personnel of Pakistan Army on the occasion of Independence Day in recognition of their professionalism, bravery and loyalty to the duty.
