Millions of faithful to sit in Aitkaf from Sunday
ISLAMABAD: Millions of faithful would observe Aitkaf from Sunday night in tens of thousands of mosques while security of the mosques has been beefed up in this connection.
Aitkaf sitting is a Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and carries a multitude of blessings of the Allah Almighty.
Before sunset million of devotees would observe Aitkaf in mosques in all over the country from the 20th of Ramadan. Large number of women would also observe Aitkaf in their houses.
The devotees would offer prayers during whole nights to seek blessing of Allah Almighty.
The security has been tightened in all mosques situated in Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Hyderabad, Gujrat, Mardan, Kohat, Bahawalpur, Quetta, Karachi, and Multan.
