HBL posts higher profits

hblKARACHI: Habib Bank Ltd (HBL) has posted a higher profit after tax of Rs10.009 billion for the half year ending June 30, 2011.

According to financial results of the bank despatched to Karachi Stock Exchange here Friday, pre-tax profit has also increased to Rs15.452 billion compared to Rs12.764 billion same period last year.

The earning per share also improved to Rs9 for the period under review against Rs7.07 last year.
