Khawaja Asif terms budget as poor-friendly

Published Updated

imageISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif Friday termed federal budget for fiscal year 2015-16 as poor-friendly and pro-growth.

Talking to mediapersons outside the Parliament House, he said the budget reflects the government of Pakistan Muslim League's

resolve to mitigate the sufferings of the downtrodden segment of the society.

He appreciated the incentives suggested in the budget for farmers for switching over to solar power tube wells to enhance the production of agriculture products.

He also appreciated internships being offered in the budget under the Prime Minister Youth Training Scheme.
