COLOMBO: Sri Lanka's central bank kept policy rates unchanged on Friday, saying it expects inflation to moderate in coming months as supply of most food items continues to improve.
"The Monetary Board decided to maintain the policy interest rates of the central bank at their current levels," the central bank said in a monthly policy report.
The repurchase rate was left at 7.00 percent and the reverse repurchase rate at 8.50 percent, in line with a Reuters poll. The bank also left the Statutory Reserve Ratio (SRR) for commercial banks unchanged at 8 percent as expected.
