SEOUL: South Korean shares opened flat on Thursday after a mixed trading day on Wall Street.
The benchmark KOSPI index opened 0.85 points, or 0.04 percent, lower at 1,891.82.
Samsung Electronics, South Korea's biggest company by value, lost 1.33 percent and major steelmaker POSCO tumbled 1.1 percent after the open.
