french-stock-exchangePARIS: The Paris stock market shed 2.06 percent Friday after an initial rise at the open, pulled down by the banking sector after solid rebounds in Europe and the United States the previous day.

The Paris CAC 40 stock index dropped to 3,019.84 points, as official data showed the French economy recorded zero growth in the second quarter of 2011 despite a robust 0.9pc growth in the first quarter.
