ZURICH: Swiss stocks jumped 4.3 percent on Thursday afternoon to 4,997.41 points, led by banking shares.

At 1425 GMT, UBS shares were up 9.17 percent to 10.95 francs, Julius Baer rose 6.72 percent to 28.90 francs, and Credit Suisse was up 6.33 percent to 22.33 francs per share.
