stockMILAN: Italian stocks rocketed up 2.8 percent at the open on Wednesday after the US Federal Reserve acted to boost US growth and as massive purchases of Italian bonds by the European Central Bank continued.

The benchmark FTSE Mib index in Milan closed 0.52 percent higher on Tuesday, after falling by more than 30 percent over the past six months.
