KARACHI: At least 9 people more were killed in different incidents of firing and torture here n Tuesday, police said.
Police launched a search operation in different areas and detained more than 100 suspected persons.
Some unknown people gunned down two persons in Jamia Cloth Market and Liaquatabad No2 areas of Karachi while a man was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Purana Haji Camp area. In another incident, a dead body was found from Napier area which could not be identified.
Some unknown people opened fire on a shop and killed two persons namely Zain and Mansoor in Abul Hassan Asfahani area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Meanwhile, two persons were shot dead during a clash between the rival groups in Gulistan-e-Johar.
The police launched search operation in different areas including Gulistan-e-Johar, Rabia City, Laasi Goth and Ayoub Goth areas of Sohrab Goth, Quaid-e-Azam Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Jaffar Tayar Society in Malir and arrested more than 60 suspected persons.
