hk_stockHONG KONG: Hong Kong shares slumped 4.07 percent on Monday morning after Standard & Poor's downgraded the United States' credit rating for the first time ever at the end of last week.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index shed 852.78 points to 20,093.36.
