NOWSHERA: An official godown of fertilizer was sealed for supplying fertilizer to dealers with short measuring.
District Officer agriculture department Gujranwala Liaqat Ali Bhatti along with DDO agriculture Muhammad Aslam Malhi raided at the NFML godown of fertilizer and found a large number of bags with less quantity of fertilizer. Each bag of fertilizer was found 42 to 44 kg while it should be 50 kg. The godown has been sealed.
It is pertinent to mention that cases were got registered against some fertilizer dealers who pleaded that they were supplied fertilizer less than 50 kg from six to eight kg per bag. On their plea, raid was conducted at the godown and found fertilizer bags with less weight.
