Farmers PakistanLAHORE: The Board of Directors of the Farmers Associates Pakistan (FAP) has demanded to fill vacant posts of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Board (PARB).

This was stated in a meeting held here under Vice Chairman FAP, Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi.

Showing deep concern, FAP said that there is no justification to keep such top level research posts vacant especially in an environment where the agricultural sector is facing shortage of funds and research.

The FAP was also of the view that by keeping these slots vacant the ongoing research projects would also suffer.

The FAP demanded of the Punjab government to take notice of the issue and order an inquiry, so that the agricultural research process in the province could run at a normal pace.
