TOKYO: The Nikkei benchmark fell on Wednesday for a third straight day, hurt by renewed strength in the yen and euro zone debt woes.
The benchmark Nikkei shed 0.2 percent to 9,905.97. The broader Topix index fell 0.2 percent to 855.23.
