ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday said the Pakistan Peoples Party was committed to the cause of people of Kashmir for their inalienable right to self-determination.
Talking to Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan at the PM House, Prime Minister Gilani said the PPP had its genesis in the cause of Kashmir.
The Prime Minister appreciated the contributions of Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan and his party to the cause of Kashmiris and thanked him for working closely with the government of Pakistan for the welfare of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan assured the Prime Minister to continue working for the welfare of the people of AJK. He also apprised the Prime Minister on his visit to Astana (Kazakhstan) to attend OIC Contact Group meeting on Kashmir. He thanked the Prime Minister for facilitating arrangements for his visit.
