DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Livestock, which is the source of income in the district largest tehsil Kulachi, has been exposed to extreme risks, owing to the apathy of tehsil veterinary hospital where a junior cadre official has been entrusted to perform highly specialized task down the last four months. People have many a times lodged complaints urging the authorities concerned to depute an expert veterinary officer but all in vain. The situation is casting adverse impact on the growth and development of the livestock in the area.
"I had disease like symptoms to my herd of cows and went to a doctor who after failing to graft the situation suggested him to apply ancient traditional method to cure the ailment instead of prescribing the relevant medicine" Sibgatullah who recent lost his five cows said.
According to a survey there are many formers who had been going through such experience.
A written complaint to this effect has also been dispatched to the department of Livestock and Dairy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, however its response and action is, still awaited.
