HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares are expected to rise on Thursday on expectations that China's nine-month cycle of monetary tightening may be due for a pause after the country raised interest rates for the third time this year.
The Hang Seng Index was set to open up 0.31 percent at 22,587.5. The China Enterprises index was indicated to open up 0.51 percent.
