MOSCOW: Russian state oil major Rosneft is seeking to sell from 0.44 million to 0.98 million tonnes of Urals crude oil via tender following a major accident at the Achinsk refinery over the weekend, market sources said on Tuesday.
Rosneft was unavailable for immediate comment.
According to trading sources, Rosneft will offer 0.3-0.7 million tonnes of Urals loading at Primorsk and Ust-Luga in the Baltics and 0.14-0.28 million tonnes in the Black Sea port of Novorossiisk loading in July.
The tender closes on June 19, with the results to be published by June 23.
Rosneft's Achinsk refinery suspended operations on Sunday after an explosion killed eight people.
Before the accident, traders expected July loadings from Russia to be on par with the small June programme as local refineries increase runs, thus supporting prices for Russia's Urals main export blend.
