imageDUBLIN: Ireland sold 750 million euros ($1.04 billion) of 10-year bonds as planned on Thursday at a record low yield of 2.7 percent in the third regular auction since Ireland exited its EU-IMF bailout last year.

Dublin is already fully funded for 2014 and is aiming to raise 8 billion euros this year to complete pre-funding for 2015, over 80 percent of which it has already collected from the three auctions and a 10-year issue in January.

Thursday's auction received 2.8 times more bids than the value of the paper on offer, with the yield falling to 2.73 percent from 2.917 at last month's auction, the National Treasury Management Agency said.

Ireland in March resumed regular bond auctions halted in late 2010 when Ireland was locked out of markets ahead of its European Union/International Monetary Fund bailout.

The agency said it does not plan any more auctions before the end of June.
