pescoBANNU: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) authorities has asked Government departments to pay their outstanding arrears that stands at Rs. 524 million or face power disconnections. Operation Engineer PESCO Bannu Jamal Din Dawar while talking to media man on Friday said that PESCO authorities have issued notices to all Govt. departs to pay their outstanding arrears by the end of the present month.

He said that Rs397 million were outstanding against Federal departments, Rs120 million against provincial departments including Health, Education and Police, Rs.0.7 million against Cantonment Board Bannu and Rs6.152 million against Town I, II administration.

The authorities warned all the public sector departments to deposit their outstanding at their earliest or face disconnection of power.

Meanwhile, the authorities have also started recovery in the public sector and registered FIRs against 200 consumers for illegal use of electricity.
