Belgium sells 2bn euros of short term debt

Published Updated

imageBRUSSELS: Belgium raised 2.006 billion euros ($2.68 billion) in short-term debt at an auction of three- and 12-month treasury bills on Tuesday, the country's debt agency said.

Yields on three-month paper fell to 0.052 percent from the 0.061 percent the same maturity was sold for at the first auction of the month.

12-month treasury bills sold for a yield of 0.225 percent, above the 0.186 percent recorded at the last auction of this maturity in August.

The amount raised was in the middle of the 1.8 to 2.3 billion euro range the agency had set last week.
