ISLAMABAD: A cross section of society has welcomed Pakistan Railways decision to cut its fare by 33 percent saying the move would encourage people to frequently use this mode of travel.
Pakistan Railways has announced a substantive reduction of 33 per cent in rail fares on the directives of Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and the new rates will be applicable from July 11.
A passenger at Rawalpindi railway station Malik Tanveer who was about to travel to Karachi while talking to this agency said, "move of the Railways Minister would be helpful in increasing number of passengers as people love to travel on trains."
