KARACHI: Bollywood superstars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s latest blockbuster ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ has banked Rs 75 crores globally within just four days of release. The film surpassed all previous records set by Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 2.’
According to Indian media reports, the film has earned Rs 62.7 crores as compared to Dabangg 2’s Rs. 58.5 crores on it’s opening weekend. Produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions and directed by Ayan Mukherjee, the film is expected to surpass the Rs 100 crores mark soon, paving the way for Ranbir Kapoor to once again enter the exclusive 100 crore club after the success of his smash-hits ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Barfi’.
The chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika has always attracted audiences to come and see them sharing the big screen together. However, the actress was quoted as saying, “when I agreed to do the film I had not read the script, but I had faith on Ayan and working with Ranbir was the other reasons why I said ‘yes’ to the film.”
The pair previously appeared together in the Yash Raj Film ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ but believe their enhanced skills helped them put on a better show this time around!
