imageISLAMABAD: The death anniversary of Sir Haji Abdullah Haroon, an active member of the freedom movement was observed on Saturday.

He was among those personalities who spoke and endorsed the 'Pakistan Resolution' at the historic 27th Session of the Muslim League at Lahore on March 23, 1940.

He took part in politics from 1910 and almost all political platforms such as Congress, Khilafat Tahreek and Muslim League.

Sir Abdullah Haroon was not only a great statesman but also one of the leading philanthropists of his time. He died in 1942.
