ISLAMABAD: A team of Embassy officials led by Pakistan Ambassador to Japan, Noor Muhammad Jadmani and Mrs. Amnat Jadmani delivered relief goods and gifts to a relief centre in Sendai city of Japan on Sunday.

The team also included Imtiaz Ahmad, Deputy Chief of Mission, Counsellor Syed Ali Asad Gillani and Miss Nasreen Jadmani, a press release received here said.

They met with the people staying in the relief centre and conveyed to them the good wishes of Pakistan Foreign Office Women Association (PFOWA).

The team handed over toys to the children and shawls to Japanese women. The relief goods also included food items, fruits, sanitary goods, markers, children books, cooked rice, chocolates, bread, rice, instant noodles and other items of daily use.

Speaking on behalf of PFOWA, Mrs. Amnat Jadmani expressed gratitude to Asami, incharge of the Sendai Relief centre, for giving shelter to Pakistani families after the earthquake.

A group of Pakistani nationals was provided shelter in the said centre after the earthquake/tsunami.

These Pakistani nationals were subsequently repatriated to Pakistan/relocated to other cities by the Embassy.

She also prayed for the early recovery of the situation enabling the affected people to return back to their homes. She said that the relief goods were the gift from the Pakistani mothers.
