LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) has approved several new degree programmes in its Syndicate meeting held here on Saturday, said University spokesman Asim Jawed.
The new degree programme including B.Sc leather sciences, BBA (Hons), B.Sc environmental sciences, establishment of centre of environmental sciences policy and management and M.Phil to leading to Ph.D in bioinformatics and also constituted committee to make Tenure Track System more transparent.
Presiding over the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Nanas gave a detailed presentation about his four year tenure.
The member of syndicate appreciated Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz's vision and his dynamic initiatives regarding academic and university developments project in various campus including City campus, Ravi campus, Avian Research and Training Centre, Jhang College of veterinary sciences.
They also lauded Prof Nawaz for introducing new seven undergraduate degree programes and in post-graduate 10 disciplines offered and increased enrolment of 3000 more students during this tenure.
