KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said all such mobile phones sims which are unregistered or issued on fake identity card would be blocked with in next 15 days.
He was talking to media after a meeting with Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) delegation at Governor House here ON Thursday.
Malik said the mobile phone companies are directed to block all such cellular phones tonight which have same IMEI numbers.
The Federal Interior Minister said the government would take all necessary measures to provide protection to the business community in the metropolis.
Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan and Sindh Minister for Irrigation Jam Saifullah Dhareejo were also present.
Earlier, KCCI delegation led by prominent businessman Siraj Kasim Teli attended a meeting at Governor House. Malik also attended the meeting.
The representatives of the business community informed the meeting to problems being faced to the traders and businessmen in the city.
