ISLAMABAD: Former Advisor to Prime Minister on Textiles and economist Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig said that there is a great potential for the increase of bilateral trade and joint ventures between Pakistan and Turkey.
Talking to PTV, he said currently the trade volume of bilateral trade is 940 million dollars, while the leadership of both the countries have set trade target of two billion dollars between the two countries.
He said Turkey levied additional duties on textiles including Pakistani textiles and President Asif Ali Zardari should take up the issue with Turkish leadership and get exempted Pakistan from it.He said Turkey can provide a huge market for Pakistani textiles.
