LONDON: European stock markets advanced at the start of trading on Wednesday, after earlier gains in Asia, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.53 percent at 5,996.34 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 won 0.45 percent to 7,135.21 points and in Paris the CAC 40 added 0.54 percent to 3,998.29.
