SARAJEVO: Bosnia's top power utility EPBiH said on Wednesday it will restart a 215 megawatt (MW) unit at its Tuzla coal-fired plant on Feb. 21 after a ten-month overhaul.
The work, which cost 125 million euros ($166.96 million), was to extend the unit's lifespan by another 15 years.
It will also boost its output and reduce the emission of harmful gases to bring the unit in line with the European Union standards, EPBiH said.
EPBiH operates two coal-fired plants and three hydro-power plants with a combined capacity of 1,165 MW and 517 MW, respectively.
